FOLLOW YOUR HEART! December 19, 2017 01:03

When you are little, people always ask you the biggest question that most kids really can’t  comprehend - “What do you want to be when you grow up?”. Children often naively answer something different every time: A Doctor! A Cop! A Rockstar! A Superhero! A Dancer! A Veterinary! A Firefighter! An Astronaut! A Teacher! etc; but when you actually grow up that uncertainty doesn’t feel too far from reality, sometimes we get there and we still don’t know what we should study in college, in what kind of job we’ll fit best or maybe we’re just unsure if we are meant to pursue something we already worked toward. Lucky are the ones who have the self-awareness soon enough to choose the career that’s appropriate for them. It might seem overwhelming either way and, at the end, age is just a number. We are capable of finding something that enriches us and makes us feel not only inspired or complemented but HAPPY at any point of our lives, it’s only matter of looking correctly.

The point is that we are all different, we have different tastes, different skills, different intelligence types and different personalities. It can make it harder for some of us to find our passions or to realize if our dreams are realistic to our physical abilities (i.e. we are not always capable of doing everything we wish or desire). Sometimes talent plays an important role when it is discovered and only if the person is interested on taking advantage of it. Other times talent is not enough it needs to be complemented with hard work, courage and discipline. In some cases, if you’ve found a true passion, but you’re not naturally great at it,don’t worry -practicing can help you to develop some skills and grow in the area in which you’re passionate.

Is there anything you’ve always wanted to do but you feel terrified to try it? DO IT! The only way to know if you are good at something is actually trying - stop playing worst-case scenarios in your mind (nothing that bad can happen - you may even make funny stories of failures that will amuse your grandkids during story-time.

Do you have a hidden talent that someone else has seen in you and you’re apprehensive about trying it out? TRY IT! Maybe they are right and maybe they are not - how would you know if you hide in the shadows of your pessimism? When we treat life more lightly and with a dash of humor, life gets easier.

Do you remember five years ago? Do you remember where you thought you’d be five years later during that time of your life? If you are having the best time of your life living the dream, congratulations - you got it right! If you are better than you thought you would be - keep doing what you are doing you’ll get there sooner or later. Don’t give up! If you haven’t started yet, START NOW to make the little changes to improve by setting your goals and taking baby steps while standing firm and believing in yourself.

Always remember nothing will stop you, when you know where you’re going. But before you can become unstoppable, you need to know where you’re starting. Before you can follow your passion, you have to find it.

If you’re feeling stuck, there are ways to discover what you really want to do with your life. Take time to work through the process and know that - no matter what, you’ll be getting closer to where you want to be.

The idea of a personal manifesto might sound a little silly on the surface. The idea is that if you can figure out where you stand on certain ideas, you might be able to flesh out a possible career or lifestyle path. Silly or not, the idea of a personal manifesto is implemented by everyone from Google to Frank Lloyd Wright. The point, as The Art of Manliness says, is to give yourself a call to action to define how you want to do things. It's easy to write your own manifesto, and while you don't have to do it in a specific way, The Art of Manliness has a few suggestions for getting started:

  • Choose your topics: choose a few topics to focus on, and make them as specific as you can. Thoughts like, “My ideal working hours and days" or "Do I want to stay in the office or I don’t mind to travel?" are great for narrowing in on what kind of work you might be interested in. Describe your perfect job.
  • Set down your principles: Write down your beliefs and values. It probably sounds not related, but if you've never really written down and thought about your morals or beliefs then this is a good time to do so.
  • Use strong, affirmative language: It's easy to write a manifesto with words like "I want" or "I should" but that's not helping you. Write it out with affirmative language like, "I will," or use the present tense with "I am."

Wait! First, do’s and don'ts in life decisions...

One of the most important things we need to understand is the fact we are not married to a certain kind of job, we might find something we like better on the way and it is ok to change your mind, to start over and choose a different profession if the opportunity comes around, if it doesn’t please don’t forget you are the one who can make it happen you and only  you can put yourself out there leaving your fears aside and start looking for what you want.

It can be hard to find our peaceful place, life is not easy and it won’t get easy just because you are not comfortable with an specific situation but it will be a lighter weight on your shoulders if you are aware of it, embrace it. Set your goals and understand you are doing everything to get where you wanted to go in the first place. Although circumstances might change, never take your eyes off the prize.

Go back and think about your abilities, focus on what you are good at, your personal interests, your skills, your knowledge areas, because it all combined make you a candidate to work in some specific or professional area.

At Embolden Jewelry we feel strongly about the idea of women being bold and letting themselves be happy and unfettered, doing what they love the most and following their passions.  For that reason we’ve designed a beautiful “Follow your heart” necklace, use it as a reminder of what truly matters in life, remembering is not what you own but what you let yourself experience.

MY HORSE IS BETTER THAN YOURS!  Interesting facts for horse lovers. December 05, 2017 14:54

Equines are not only one of the most noble animals, they are also incredibly strong, fast, obedient and beautiful. People who have never had the opportunity to ride or be around this amazing animal would never understand why horse owners are fascinated with this graceful animal.
Almost every little girl dreams of having a pony but few ever own one.  However, those who do are rewarded with the emotional, mental, social, and physical  benefits that develops as a result of frequent interaction with horses.

Here we are pointing out some fun facts that you could find interesting about this incredible animal.

Common name:
Scientific name:   Equus ferus caballus
Type:  Mammals
Diet: Herbivores
Size:  Height at the shoulders, 30 to 69 in
Weight: 120 to 2,200 lbs

If you are a truly horse lover you need to add one of these places to your “Bucket List.” These are the most beautiful and adventurous places to go horseback riding in the world:

Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
Biltmore Estate, NC, USA
Loire Valley, France
Haleakala National Park, Hawaii
Torres del Paine National Park, Chile
Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah, USA
Banff National Park, Canada
Donana National Park, Spain

The equine industry is global and continues to play an important role in worldwide economies.
The direct impact of this industry on the U.S economy adds up to approximately $39 billion dollars annually and supports 1.4 million full-time jobs.  When indirect spending on related industries are included the impact reaches $102 billion dollars.
There are currently 9.2 million horses in the U.S. with Texas leading the way with the highest horse population of one million.  Texas is followed by California at 700,000 and Florida with 500,000 to round out the three leading horse States in the country.  Furthermore, 45 of 50 states have at least 20,000 horses. All of those horses are used for different kinds of activities, but the majority, 3,906,923, are for recreational purposes.  Another 2,718,954 horses for showing, 844,531 for racing and 1,752,439 for other things like therapy or ranch work.

Since 1912 three equestrian disciplines have been on the Olympic program.  According to the International Equestrian Federation those are:

Jumping: A jumping competition is one in which the combination of horse and athlete is tested under various conditions over a course of obstacles. It is a test intended to demonstrate the horse's freedom, energy, skill, speed and obedience as well as the rider’s horsemanship.
Dressage:  "The highest expression of horse training" where "horse and rider are expected to perform from memory a series of predetermined movements."
Eventing: A formidable combination of Cross Country, Jumping and Dressage. Eventing is often known as the Triathlon of the equestrian world.

While 2,067 riders from 65 countries have competed approximately 4,000 times in Olympic competitions since 1912, most riders are only one-time Olympians.

It builds self confidence: While horse riding is an independent sport, it’s actually a partnership in which the owner is a teacher and leader who works with the horse. Nothing builds self confidence better than “leadership training.” That is a form of empowerment that’s only found working with large animals.

Reduces stress: Physical exercise is a scientifically recognized mediator of stress and it is clear that equine activities require exercise.  Interaction with animals is also proven to decrease blood pressure and stress hormones.

Keeps you physically active: Riding and other activities that require you to be outdoors in all kinds of weather will certainly keep you moving. Riding, cleaning stalls, grooming, feeding, raking hay, and pushing wheelbarrows all actively burn calories and build muscle.

Builds character: Character building is a natural part of horse ownership.  It teaches responsibility, punctuality, sportsmanship, frugality, patience, commitment, confidence and self-esteem.

It promotes a union with nature: Being outside and enjoying the fresh air can do wonders for your mental and physical health. Plus, the dose of vitamin D you get from being in the sunshine is essential for your body.

Improves digestion: Riding a horse at a walking pace stimulates the internal organs just as walking on foot does. This aids in liver function and digestion.

If you feel curious about photography but you have no idea of what to do with angles, lightning, effects,  or how to take a simple but cool caption for social media here are the basics you should know as a beginner.  Even if you take it up as a hobby and are just looking for the perfect instagram post these tricks will take your photography to the next level. Who knows...maybe you’ll discover that you have a hidden talent as a photographer!

Before we start, choose the device you will use.  Whether using a cellphone or digital camera, just remember this is photography for newbies. Most smartphones have a high quality camera these days so most cell phones will work fine, however, it is always helpful if you know how to use photoshop to give every photo a final touch.

Photography genres

There are lots of techniques in photography that we could name there are almost a 100 subcategories, but this time we are talking about the top 3 basic photography styles.

  • Portrait photography:
  • By shot:
  • 1.1 Full Body Portraits: Should cover 3/4th portion to the whole body minimum.
1.2 Upper Body Shots: They cover just the area above the waist.

1.3 Facial Shots: A facial shot covers the full face of the subject. It may either be up to the neckline or the bust.

1.4 Close-ups: Pictures taken at a very short distance or with the help of a zoom or macro lens.

  • By frame:
2.1 Environmental Portrait: The interaction between the subject with environment are more important than the facial expressions.
  • 2.2 Formal Portrait Photography: It is a posed portrait prepared for formal occasions, business or other.

2.3 Posed Portrait Photography: In this photo the subject is fully aware of your presence of the photographer and prepares a certain body posture for the picture.

2.4 Candid Portrait Photography: The point here is to make it look natural, photographer may interfere in the environment of the scene.

  • By number of people:
  • 3.1 Group Portraits: If it features from three to hundreds of people qualifies for this category.

3.2 Couple Portraits: Two people in the frame and their relationship showing the interaction between them.

3.3 Individual Portraits: One only person in sight.

  • Product photography:   Among all the great techniques for getting a successful product shooting the “Window Light Technique” as it is commonly known is the most useful for a quick start, it is simple and great to produce a high quality result with most product types.

  • Landscape photography:  Sometimes landscape photos are about intent and how the subjects interact between themselves,  so you can try this tricks to do a nice caption:

  • -A forced perspective photo

-A fake tilt and shift photo

    -A long exposure landscape photo
    -A digital infrared photo

    -A 360 degree polar panorama

    Camera Angles

An  important aspect while photographing is having a knowledge about angles and sensemaking perspective to establish viewpoints more effectively.

-Shooting straight up: A great option to change the perspective is taking the photo from below creating a dramatic composition.

-Get down low: This shot is a little unusual because it’s taken from ground level but it adds a new dimension to your picture.

-Twist the camera: Create a twist with your camera to make the subject take a diagonal line through the frame and obtain a pleasing and artistic composition.

-Kneel down: Try shooting low with this technique without changing the perspective, it helps keeping the background clean and free from clutter.

    Photography backdrops

Of course this section tips will be only useful for portrait and product photos indoors, it is not useful for outdoor photoshoots.

You can always use the common green wall and photoshop different backgrounds in your photo, play with different scenarios and create an amazing match.

By the other hand, you can make a wall out of almost everything, imagine one made out balloons or flowers, even with christmas lights. Also, you can use a variety of fabric for the background to be unique, try a newspaper wall to make it look vintage or decorative tissue paper to create a colorful draped wall.

    Photography lighting

When it comes to setting up your shooting, lighting setup is very important. For portrait pictures follow the next techniques:

  • Split lighting: This technique stands for the perfect dramatic effect between light and shadow dividing the subject in proportional halfs.
  • Loop lighting: It’s made by creating a soft shadow on the subject using the most prominent features situating the light source on a slightly higher level about 30-45 degrees from the camera.
  • Rembrandt lighting: is identified by the triangle of light on the cheek.  the shadow meet the nose and cheek creating that trapped little triangle of light in the middle. Is more dramatic and gives more mood and a darker feel to your image.
  • Butterfly lighting: The lighting is created by placing a reflector directly under their chin, behind the camera or above the eye or head level of the subject depending on the person’s pose. This patterns looks for a slim face appearance or prominent cheek bones.

  • Another important fact about lighting is the ISO setting on your digital camera because it controls how the image sensor and  it’s sensitivity to the light. The higher it is  the less light you need for the caption. Remember: An ISO set too high may cause an image with a speckled defect or noise.

    Tricks to do at home

  • Water effect: If you want to get a misty water drops kinda effect try using a crystal clear cup add some water then drop it leaving the water drops on it, also you can full fill the cup and play with the zooming effect it makes and if you feel like adding color to it use a neon plastic cup.
  • Glitter effect: Grab some foil and cut it in little square to create a metallic confetti illusion, it would look like glitter once you’re shooting with the camera flash.
  • Zoom: Go closer with a magnifying glass add some blurred
  • Candle lights: Soft light effect that helps you to create a warm environment, it gives an artistic intention to a portrait photography.
  • Make a splash: It works better for product photos like fruits, you can use water, colored water, water paint, anything liquid enough to create a splash effect you just need to be sure of using high shutter speed.

  • Resolution and Format

For digital photos is highly relevant to understand how resolution works to maintain the best quality of the photograph.

    Print Size

    Pixel Count

    4 x 6

    800 x 1200

    5 x 7

    1000 x 1400

    8 x 10

    1600 x 2000

    11 x 14

    2200 x 2800

It's that time of the year when you open your closet and find so many things you forgot you had or are avoinding to wear just because of the weather, maybe it is not the season color or it is a garment that you don’t know how to match or wear. That’s why fashion complementary accessories are such a good investment, you can do magic with them! If you learn how to match your clothes with them you can give your outfit a 360°. To match it right there are some aspects you'll need to know before. Don't worry I’ll show you how to it nicely!

First of all you need to learn the differences between each type of scarves based on the fabric they are made of.

Linen Linen is infamous in the fabric world for its sheer strength. It is two to three times stronger than cotton. This fabric is virtually lint free which also gives it a very smooth texture. The color in linen fabrics doesn't fade when washed. This garment will press easily.
Cotton Cotton is one of the most well known natural fabrics. It is notorious for its breathe-ability, durability, and its cooling effect. Cotton is known to be a wash and wear fabric. It is also iron-able and soft to the touch.
Mohair Mohair is a natural silk-like fabric that comes from the Angora goat. It is super soft to the touch, long-lasting, and durable. Since mohair is a natural fiber it has a luxurious feel to it. It is also warm, easily absorbs moisture, comfortable in hot or cold weather, shrink resistant, and wrinkle resistant.
Acrylic  Acrylic is an ultra-fine fabric that is luxurious and very soft to the touch. It is wearer-friendly because it is washable and dry-cleanable. Acrylic fabrics are strong and shrink resistant in nature. They are also well-known for their comfort, because they are insulated and breathable.

Polyester is a popular man-made fabric that is notorious for its strength. It is machine washable and dries quickly. Polyester is also dry-cleanable, wrinkle resistant, stretch resistant, and shrink resistant.

Silk is the oldest textile fiber known to man. It is extremely elegant and refined. Silk retains its shape extremely well in addition to hanging well. Silk can be worn in all seasons and it shimmers with a luster all of its own. Silk must be hand-washed, but it will not shrink. It dries quickly, but do not ring out into a towel to dry or put in drier. Silk is a very light fabric and was at one time, reserved for kings.

Wool  Wool is a textile fabric that is known for its unique combination of good insulation and lightweight in nature. It is dirt, flame, and wrinkle resistant. It is washable, but it will shrink if washed improperly. Wool is a very breathable fabric.

We’ve all heard of clothes to suit your shape figure like jeans or dresses to complement girls with a determine body shape type. Scarves to flatter certain body shapes are a little less well known. Nonetheless they do exist and, might we add, create some pretty impressive results. Take a look at the ways in which scarves can be potent ammunition is either concealing or enhancing the best and worse of our bodies.

    Tall & Slim

Yes they do exists and not just in the fashion magazine. If you are fortunate to be blessed with a figure that is not only tall but is slim as well, you can pretty much wear anything you want. Though there are some exceptions. Tall and slim women often have smaller breasts than they might have liked. Avoid wearing low cut tops which would accentuate the flat chest. Alternatively conceal your smaller-than-average breasts by draping a bright and beautiful scarf across your chest.

    Apple-Shaped Ladies

Apple-shaped ladies are significantly larger on top than on the bottom. Those with an apple-shaped figure tend to have a short neck This apple-shaped bodily trait can be overcome by wearing V-shaped tops and jumpers. Alternatively you can conceal a shorter neck by wearing a scarf. Ladies who consider their necks to be shorter than they would like can try to wear a longer scarf of their choice and complement it with a big sized pendant.

    The Hourglass Figure

With busts and hips that are in proportion the hourglass figure might sound ideal. However this type of body shape is defined by the waist, which is typically much smaller than the busts and hips. If this sounds like you and your curvy hips and breasts seem to dominate your shape, opt for looser clothing that doesn’t cling to the waist. Scarves can also play a pivotal role in helping women with an hourglass figure achieve a sexy, well-proportioned look, as placing a loosely fitted scarf around your neck that hangs soften past your waist will draw attention from your noticeably defined midriff. Opt for a brightly-coloured scarf, the more eye-catching the better.

    Inverted Triangle

It refers to a top heavy body shape, these ladies might have a couple of desirable assets up front but if you’re not inclined to put your bosoms on display you may want to subtly hide them by wearing a scarf. Being light, long and generous with material, pashminas are the perfect scarf to help make women with top heavy figures look a little more in balance. Summer pashminas are perfect for the warmer weather of spring and summer and are light enough to wear in the day as well as the evening. Opt for pashminas and scarves that are one colour or have a smaller pattern printed on them larger patterns can tend to accentuate larger features.

What are you waiting for? Improve your outfit and anhance your body shape with this amazing tricks, you can find all our scarves catalog at and using claim code: BEBOLD15  you'll get 15% Off on your entire order! (Buy any 2 items or more, one redeptiom per customer).

Being the boss is women new career preference! November 01, 2017 06:00

In 2017 being a college graduate student is no longer enough for women.  We want more and we need more.  Being the perfect housewife or fabulous business woman has always been a hard decision to make, but some ambition ladies choose to have it all. While exhausting, it's possible to excel professionally at the same time as raising the next generation.  The truth is that it doesn’t really matter what you’ve decided to do if you are seeking improvement every day. Never settle for anything and if you see an opportunity, TAKE IT! I can assure you it is never easy, but rather tiring and time consuming.  However, the reward is worth it. We all as humans need to feel satisfaction from the activities we engage in and that’s why we can never stop learning new things. We are natural achievers and our mental health is based on remaining active. Even setting less demanding short-time goals such as a “to do list” helps us to satisfy our natural desire to achieve.

    Richest Women WorldWide

Well maybe these ladies didn’t have to work hard to become billionaires, but they did have to struggle to maintain and manage their empires. The top 5 richest women in the world are the lucky heiress’ of last century’s business sharks who started their companies from scratch and passed their knowledge onto their daughters.

L'Oréal heiress Liliane Bettencourt died being the richest woman in the world in September 2017 at the age of 94.
Alice Walton, the only daughter of Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton.
Jacqueline Mars, owner of one-third of Mars, the world's largest candymaker.
Roshni Nadar took her father’s place running the 4.2 billion Indian family company at the age of 27.
Aerin Lauder, heiress of  her grandfather, Estée Lauder’s,  skin care business and named after him.

Most Influential Social Media Women Entrepreneurs

Since social media became the most important communication method for the current generation, much attention has shifted to social media influencers (people who are capable of persuading their followers via social media posts).  Here are some examples of influential women on social media who actually started a business or career thanks to their popularity.

1.Kylie Jenner: The youngest of the Kardashian squad is well known for being a millennial business girl besides the popularity of her family’s television show. With 98.9 million followers she launched her first lip kit of lip gloss plus lip liner in 2016 under the name of her new brand Kylie Cosmetics. Her products are vegan and are not tested on animals.

3.Cassey Ho: She is a YouTube star with her channel reaching 3,932,053 subscribers. This yoga blogger started with sketching her ideas and customizing bras until she founded her active wear empire POPFLEX with an entire line of leggings, bras, shorts, tanks, capris, etc.

4.Sazan Hendrix: Beauty and lifestyle blogger, fashion blogger and recently television host, Sazan Barzani (before marriage) used her knowledge in fashion to create The Bless Box, a monthly subscription business that mails a red box with “must have” personal items that she personally chooses to the subscriptors.
2.Sascha Barboza: Better known as “Sascha Fitness,” she is a Best Seller nutrition author and coach. She lives in Miami but originates from Venezuela. She has more than 2.5 million followers and started her business in  2015 by selling her own protein shake “HYDROLYZED WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE”

    Women in Business

It is not really common for women to dream of becoming a businesswoman while growing up, but the typical female stereotypes are slowly changing.  It is our job to continue to change those sexist images and show our kids that they can be anything they want to be, regardless of their gender.  Women don’t need to become extreme feminists to make a difference in the world. When we talk about empowering women, it can be as simple as realizing women have a voice and it should be heard by everyone.

These women dreamed and believed in themselves enough to start their own business’ by taking initiative and putting fear aside. Now they run multi-million companies and are the perfect example of courage.  Here is the list of entrepreneurs who built up their business from nothing:

    1. Sara Blakely created Spanx out of a simple product idea and now the company’s net  worth is over $1.5 billion dollars.
    2. Rashmi Sinha, co-founder and mastermind behind SlideShare, which was acquired by LinkedIn for $118.75 million dollars.
    3. Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields formed a $650 million dollar skin care company by working on it only in their spare time.
    4. Jin Sook Chang, co-founder of the retail business Forever 21, used her savings to found a sales marketing company that is currently worth 4 billion dollars.

How to start your own business on 10 steps:

    1. Identify different needs you have in your life or community. Which are most common?
    2. Define if it is a product you can sell or a service you can provide and describe how you’ll do it. (Use your imagination)
    3. Take that idea and make a list of things you may need. (Quantitative)
    4. Research to assure that there isn’t something like it already on the market (if so, don’t worry we can always keep innovating). If you find something similar answer this:
a)Is it available for everyone to easily buy or could you be the distributor of  your region?
      b)Can you do it better?
c)If someone buys it, would it really be useful?
    5. Define your budget, look and compare supply distributors. (If you are not able to spend much money you could try partnering with someone who could invest in your idea).
    6. Create a goal calendar and write down everything you need to accomplish in order to launch your new business.  Steps like a brand naming, social media pages, investors, permissions, etc, are crucial to success.
    7. Also, set an hour everyday to work on it. Start with defining your mission, vision statements, and your company’s values (use your personal values as reference).
    8. You are free to ask for help! It is wise to reach out to knowledgeable people for an advice in matters applicable to your business.  Use local and federal business resources and programs to enrich your knowledge and give you a clearer idea of the best way to start things off.
    9. Let your friends and family know you are starting a business but do not try to sell them anything.  Use their interest as an indicator of the market - if they are really interested in your idea it speaks to your target audience.
    10. Put yourself to work and start doing it!!!

If cats could talk, they wouldn't! Fun Facts about our feline friends. October 30, 2017 16:50

It is fascinating how pet cats are the smaller version of those amazing big felines like tigers, jaguars, panthers, lions and we are blessed to enjoy their company at home. If you are a cat lover there are so many things you must learn about this beautiful animal.

COMMON NAME: Domestic Cat SCIENTIFIC NAME: Felis catus
    TYPE: Mammals SIZE: 28 in
DIET: Carnivores WEIGHT: 5 to 20 lbs

Ancient Egyptians domesticated cats first as early as 4,000 years ago.  They were the first to keep and use cats to control vermin and other pests to protect stored food.  Early Egyptians worshipped a cat goddess and even mummified their beloved pets for their journey to the next world. Cultures around the world later adopted cats as their own domestic companions.  They exported tame felines to Italy where they slowly spread around Europe. Eventually, they arrived in the New World with the Pilgrims. The shorthaired domestic cat spread across the world from Egypt while longhaired cats came later from Turkey and Iran. The domestic cat also spread from India to China and Japan.

Fame won’t stop anyone from loving their kittens. Here is proof from nine cat loving celebrities!

Don't creep out! Easy costume ideas for Halloween. October 24, 2017 12:02

Halloween is a favorite holiday for those who love to get dressed up and embrace their inner child...or demon!  But, it can be overwhelming and time-consuming to find the right costume. Here are some ideas to get you started for Halloween 2017:

    Girl costumes

Wonder Woman: Of course, you can’t rule out this female action hero as an option for this halloween. Besides being one of the best movies of the year, Wonder Woman is a traditional costume/character that embodies female empowerment and a positive role model for young girls.

Super Bowl Lady Gaga: These is not an easy outfit to find, but if you do, you’ll shine brighter than anyone else!  Gaga never fails to surprise or underwhelm the senses.  My advice if you dare to wear her beautiful sparkly leotard is that it will most probably have to be tailor made.

Rey: Star Wars Episode VIII The Last Jedi force prodigy Rey who brings a new hope to a galaxy on the brink of war is the perfect character for brunettes to wear this season.  It fits perfectly with other Star Wars costumes that you run into at a halloween party.

Daenerys Targaryen: Game of thrones favorite chain breaker queen wears so many different outfits every season but I’m sure you can find something that looks like one of her dresses or close to it.  This could be a potentially low-budget option if you search around for a some unique used items at a local Goodwill.  Add in a long platinum blonde wig (or if you are naturally blonde you may wanna braid your hair like khaleesi), and you’re ready to go!

Madonna: You can always trust the Queen of Pop even if she is no longer on the top 10 list. She is an icon everyone knows and for that she deserves to be one of our nominated halloween costume ideas.  Her famous music videos like “Material Girl” are full of ideas for unforgettable costumes.

    Group costumes

Baywatch: The hottest remake of the year goes to this group of brave lifeguards. If you live in a city with warm weather you can convince your friends that wearing swimsuits as costumes could be a great idea.
Rock of ages: Regarding the typical rock theme costume you can get some inspiration from this exciting 2012 movie and impersonate some of the characters to get a funny group costume.
The purge: If you and your girls are feeling sexy this year try on a mask with some blood spills on a lab coat, a toy weapon, and a little black dress and stockings.
Scream Queens: Dressing up like the new “Mean Girls” is a great option even more thanks to the main context of the story where murder and weird assassins come into play. It goes perfectly with halloween and you’ll get a scary but nice outfit, mixing the classy lady style with the original spooky appearance.
Orange is the new black: If your squad is too big  and you don’t want to wear the same costume only with different colors as is common, take a look on the cast of this Netflix original and choose your favorite characters.  There should be one for each of you.

    Couple costumes

Baby Driver: This cute new movie couple took us to that sweet teenage romance stage again and it’s really simple: you’ll only need an old ipod, earphones, sunglasses and a smart guy attitude! Oh, and your partner in a dark blue waitress uniform.
Beauty and the beast: Disney’s live action version of this movie was epic this year!  Even if it’s cheesy to dress up like a princess, it’s a timeless costume everyone loves and is always fun to wear.

Arrow and Felicity: In this tv series based on DC comics characters,  she is a high tech prodigy working on the secret lab for Oliver Queen “Arrow.”  Some people say she’s replacing the oracle, but that’s not really important because they make an awesome couple and dressing up like them sounds like fun.

    Family costumes

The smurfs: If you’re trying to do an easy family homemade costume theme try out this blue bundle!  With this huge family you won’t run out of personality options and the simplicity of the outfit will make it easy for every member to find matching clothes in the closet.

The emoji movie:  This one is a fun kid’s movie and they will love it. You can create any character from cardboard and markers  and hang it on yourself.  Be sure you are matching colors as the base of your costume to create a camouflage look or just wear black to be safe.

Alvin and the chumpkins: These super fun squirrels are great for siblings or cousins looking to go together.  All you need are some colored sweaters and jeans plus some character accessories like Simon’s glasses.

    Easy Last Minute costumes

Risky Business: If you really are out of time Tom Cruise's dance scene on this 80’s film could save you. Go grab a white men dress shirt, a pair of white socks, black sunglasses and of course a trophy to pretend it’s a microphone.
Easy  A:  If you are feeling more sassy this year try on this Emma Stone movie outfit.  You only need to add an “A” letter on the top of a black corset, some black leggings and you are good to go.
Boo: This little girl stole our hearts, not just Mike and Sully's.  Everyone loves Monsters inc. so it would be a sweet costume for you to try.
Glow:  Add another Netflix original to the list with “Glow.”  It takes us back to 80’s fashion but with a nice twist that is good for costumes because these ladies are wrestlers.  So go on and mess up your hair, look for a headband, a leotard and find some wrestling boots!
Atomic blonde: Good news for all blondies - you won’t need a wig. Dressing up like the superstar of this action movie will be very easy. I’m betting it won’t be hard for people to guess who you pretend to be. It’s a fun character to impersonate and you’ll get to do a british accent while becoming an MI6 agent.

Best Male and Female Soccer Players of all times! October 18, 2017 14:09

Football (soccer) is  by far the most popular sport in the world with over 4 billion follower. Its widespread popularity is illustrated by the large global audience it attracts, the number of professional leagues around the world, average professional athlete salary, tv viewership statistics, endorsement and sponsorship deals, social media presence, prominence in sports headlines on media outlets.

Football overwhelms sports headlines in some of the major countries in the world including almost many European nations such as Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, France, etc.  Football is one of the most accessible sports in the world and there is hardly anyone who has not tried out soccer at some point in their life. In South America football is more than just a game is ingrained in the culture and patriotic spirit of each country.  It represent dreams and joy for kids in Brazil, Argentina and other latin countries.

    Football Soccer History

When talking about this incredible sport we can’t leave aside history.  It remains important today to recognize the improvements that have been made and the possibilities for new strategies in order to avoid mistakes made in the past.

In the 1800’s Great Britain’s football league was credited with recording the first  rules for the sport, including penalizing those who tripped opponents and touching the ball with their hands. But historical records trace soccer back more than 2,000 years ago to ancient China. After that it spread to Greece, Rome, and parts of Central America which also claim to have started the sport; but it was the English who actually made the transition to modern soccer, or what the British and many other people around the world call “football,” into the game we know today.

It wasn't until early twentieth century when you could see women playing the game seriously in different parts of Great Britain, France and Canada.

    World’s Best Male Players

Soccer is the most popular sport worldwide played by men with “265 million players actively involved, roughly about 4 percent of the world's population,” according to FIFA. Some sources claim the portuguese player Christiano Ronaldo is them best XXI century football soccer player, others say he’s the best of all time. The truth is he’s not the only one, the Argentinian Lionel Messi is often discussed as one of the best players in modern history.  However, in less recent history the list of the greatest players from last century includes Brazilian player Pelé, Argentinian Armando Maradona, Dutchman Johan Cruyff, Spanish Alfredo Di Stefano, German Franz Beckenbauer, Hungarian Ferenc Puskas and French Zinedine Zidane.

    Greatest Football Soccer Players

    World’s Best Female Players

Sissi is a retired Brazilian football player who currently coaches. Her biggest achievement was on her debutant year when at the age of sixteen she won the 1999 European Golden Shoe for scoring seven goals on the World Cup.
Michelle Akers is a former American player who won the Golden Shoe in 1991, a Golden medal in Atlanta’s 1996 olympic games, and then the Female World Cup in 1999.  Finally in 2002 she was named Best Female Player of the Century by FIFA.

Sun Wen is the best chinese football player ever recorded. She began playing at the age of eight when her parents decided to take her to a sports school in her city. She went on to win the Best Female Player of the Century (XX) award by FIFA in 2000, European Golden Boot (shoe) and the Golden Ball (Ballon d’Or) for her performance on 1999 World Cup. IT’S MINE! Indoor Volleyball Vs. Beach Volleyball October 04, 2017 12:45

Isn’t volleyball a super fun sport? It has it all! It is dynamic, encouraging and also it is great to practice self confidence and teamwork.
If you are a volleyball girl you’ll understand that feeling when volleyball games become your entire life and you can't get enough of them, but why not change a little bit between both environments to make it more interesting and improve your skills. If you are an indoor volleyball player but you live near to the beach, even if you don’t, beach volleyball is an amazing option for you to try on summer days - or the other way around if you are a beach volleyball kind of girl try to do it indoor, It won’t be easy either way but you’re going to love it!

At first it was originally called “mintonette”.
It was invented around 1895 by William G. Morgan.
It was created four years after the basketball invention.
The inventor graduated from the Springfield College of the YMCA and he designed this new game trying to combine basketball, baseball, tennis, and handball.
The first volleyball net was borrowed from tennis, and it was only 6’6″ high
The offensive style of setting and spiking was first demonstrated in the Philippines in 1916.
In 1917, the game was changed from 21 to 15 points.
In 1920, three hits per side and back row attack rules were instituted.
Over the years that followed, it became clear that standard rules were needed for tournament play, and the USVBA (United States Volleyball Association) was formed in 1928.
In 1930, the first two-man beach game was played.
National volleyball referees were approved and recognized in 1934.
Volleyball was introduced to the Olympic Games in Tokyo,1964.
The first beach volleyball association appeared in California (1965), and the professional players united under the auspices of the AVP (American Volleyball Professionals) in 1983.In 1975, the U.S. National Women’s team began a year-round training regime in Pasadena, Texas (moved to Colorado Springs in 1979, Coto de Caza and Fountain Valley, CA, in 1980, and San Diego, CA, in 1985).
In 1977, the U.S. National Men’s Team began a year-round training regime in Dayton, Ohio (moved to San Diego, CA, in 1981).
In 1990, the World League was created.
In 1995, the sport of volleyball was 100 years old!
In 1996, two-man beach volleyball was officially introduced to the Olympics.
Today, there are more than 800 million volleyball players worldwide, 46 million of them in the U.S.

Court size is not the same for both of them- beach volleyball courts are 16m x 8m and there is no attack line so players may hit the ball from anywhere on their side of the net- sand courts are smaller than indoor courts which are 18meters x 9meters, with a parallel attack line that is 3meters from the center line and back row players must stay behind this line when hitting the ball.
If you wonder why the beach court is smaller, try to do a quick lateral sprint through the sand and see how much speed and breath you lose. A smaller court ensures that the ball will stay live longer and rallies will be more entertaining.

Each ball is made of different kinds of materials-  beach volleyballs are lighter, softer and a little bit bigger than indoor balls that are made of leather and it makes them heavier. The lighter weight allows them to float more in the air good players may use the weather as an advantage and heavier balls move quicker and can be hit harder.
If you want to get serious or at least look serious when you're playing, buy the yellow-and-white-striped Wilson beach volleyball- this is the official ball of the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP -- aka the pro beach circuit).

Beach volleyball is best played with doubles. There are no specialized positions, only a left and a right side. Most beach players are well-rounded and can hit, dig and block. At professional levels, one player is dedicated to digging and one to blocking, but if you're just learning, grab a side and share the responsibilities. If you want to be taken seriously, don't play with more than two per side.
Indoor volleyball is played with teams of six per side, each person has a specialized position and there are continuous rotations and switches going on as we know every time it’s turn to serve just to ensure that each person remains in their designated position.

In both indoor and outdoor volleyball, you must win by two points. Another similarity is both games use rally scoring, meaning you do not have to serve the ball to win the point. The team that wins the rally, wins the point. In beach volleyball, a match consists of a series of best-of-three game, with each game played to 21 points. Two sets wins the match, and the third tiebreaker set, if necessary, is also played to 15 points.
With indoor volleyball, a match consists of five sets, or games. The first team to reach 25 points wins the set. Three sets wins the match, and the fifth tiebreaker set, if necessary, is only played to 15 points. Teams switch sides after every game.

If you are a volleyball lover or you know somebody who does, this particular necklace will be perfect to show that love, it is made of silver and has encrusted crystals that’ll make it shine along with the person wearing it. Hurry up and don’t miss the chance to buy it with our Amazon promo code: BEBOLD15. I don’t know what she likes! Gift Ideas for women September 07, 2017 15:28

If you are like most men and you have never noticed what your girlfriend, wife, even your mom, a family member, a work colleague, your boss or any girl  likes and now you are in a hurry looking for the best present for her that will make you look like you are aware of her fashion taste, don’t worry, it's not that hard! I’ll guide you through this uncertain path until you find the perfect gift for her so you may live happily ever after.

First of all and the most important question you need to answer is: Who is it for?

In this case It doesn’t matter if it is a wedding anniversary gift, birthday present, valentines  or christmas gift, the only thing you need to know is who is it for, we don’t really care about the occasion but the person.

Think about how you feel about her, if you are too close, or is it someone you want to approach, maybe is just the social dynamic, anyway take note of the following tips:

Girlfriend, Wife or Someone you like: The point here is to show her you didn’t forget the special date and you love her enough to take your time to buy a non improvised present for her.

Family member: We all have being there receiving a random present our grandma’s cousin gave us or someone we don’t ever get in touch with but they are family and somehow sometimes we are invited to their birthday’s so here we are looking for something to give her that she at least would wear. Or maybe it is our favorite aunt so we need to make sure she likes it thought.

Work colleague or similar:  Probably the hardest one to choose something she actually likes if you are not very close but It could be the easier one just for the same reason, they won’t expect much from you!

Now try to remember the last time you saw her, What was she wearing?

How would you describe her style to be like? Choose the one that fits better with her personality:

Classy / Elegant / Business: She is usually wearing designer’s fashion, always formal outfits and anyone may think she is bossy even if she is not.

Casual / Trendy: Jeans or leggings, a t-shirt and sandals or flats and she’s good to go anywhere.

Bohemian / Hippie: Her life is pretty much relaxed, no hair do needed just a vintage dress, a handmade bag and sandals are enough for her.

Sexy: She dresses up to show off her incredible body.

Country: All they need are nice boots, a square shirt, shorts or jeans and of course a country hat... oh! and don’t forget the belt.

Rocker / Gothic / Punk: Rules are not made for them, they are bold, their clothes scream black and different.

Hipster: She’s probably vegan, loves art, goes to pet friendly places, drinks coffee and wears her mom's old 90’s clothes.

Fitness / Sporty: She is always at the gym, outside running or probably at any sports team and loves the healthy lifestyle. She dresses up comfortable matching sportswear outfits and sneakers.

Girly / Religious: She is certainly lovely, looks sweet and innocent. Most of the time she wears conservative cute dresses.

Once you have a clear idea of her usual looks, another important thing to consider is: Your Budget. Of course you don’t want to look cheap but that doesn’t mean you can’t find a nice and reasonable priced gift that will make you look good. In a world with so many options and no time to waste let's take the freeway.

    The SAFEST bet: Accessories.

Jewelry has always been a safe bet for every man on earth. Why? Let’s be honest, sometimes you don’t even know your own size, so for this matter we’ll stay with accessories.

But that’s not the only reason, besides it makes every woman develope confidence based on her looks, scientifically speaking wearing jewelry is considered good for health because the nerves of our body are connected to each other and metal will provide us positive energy.

It is time to decide what kind of jewelry will be the best option according to her style and personality, if  bracelets, pendants, a scarf, a necklace, earrings, etc. Don’t panic, I’ll help you out.

Now, here are my gift recommendations for you, It all depends on each type of girl or woman:

Classy / Elegant / Business:   She is a fine lady and that requires a fine taste so this earrings and necklace Zirconia set will be perfect for her.

Casual / Trendy:   For this girl a pashmina would work just great, it always improves any casual outfit looking amazing with almost anything.

Bohemian / Hippie: These feather earrings express everything a bohemian stands for and her natural wildness.

Sexy: For a sassy woman color red fits perfectly and this necklace will look amazing on her.

Country:  She must love horses, and this heart-shaped necklace will represent that perfectly.

Rocker / Gothic / Punk:  Nothing shows more attitude than this skull black leather bracelet, she will love it!

Hipster: This black earrings are just like her, simple and cute.

Fitness/Sporty:   This magnetic therapy necklace is perfect for her, it works keeping high the energy power while training.

Girly/Religious:  She is sweet and this beautiful silver pendant is too.

Conservative older woman:  You need to be careful because you don’t want to make her feel old, so a good option would be this sophisticated grey scarf with a vintage silver pendant.

Finally based on this examples you’ll be able to choose the one that fits better with her, or any other lady. I hope it was useful and don’t forget to check out more of the gift options that we have for you here at Embolden Jewelry.

Flowy white dresses ranged from dramatic maxi dresses with lots of free flowing fabric, shorter peasant style dresses and dresses with sexy low plunging necklines. The easy going relaxed fit and light airy fabrics of this trend make it perfect for warm weather.

The easy going warm weather trend was seen paired with bold accessories like- big sunglasses, hats and belts. I think its safe to say we will continue to see this trend throughout the summer.

    Au Natural

One of this seasons hottest trends is the Au Natural look. This look takes inspiration from previous bohemian trends with more of a back to nature feel.

In this trend, we saw inspiration drawn from Africa. Giving this trend a really earthy vibe. A lot of intricate prints against earth tone browns. Leather sandals with detailed stitching and other natural elements like stones and fabric.

Jewelry for the Au Natural trend was inspired by animal horns and tusks. As well as jeweled beetle pendants for added drama. Gold's and bronzes were the primary metals shown on the runways.

    The Dark Side of Florals

Spring has officially arrived and we are seeing a modern update on a classic trend: florals. Spring time is synonymous for girly floral prints, combined with a softer cooler color palette- think pastels such as; baby pinks & yellows, light blue and mint green.

However, this year we are seeing traditional floral prints combined with not so traditional dark color contrasts.

Floral prints for 2016 were shown on the runways over lapped on dark colors such as black and gray. Another huge trend right now is pattern mixing. Various patterns sitting next to each other to create an interesting contrast.

P.S don't put away your dark fall/winter leather accessories just yet. We saw black leather shoes and bags paired with these new prints as well.

    Gilded Head Pieces

Gilded head pieces were all the rage on the runways this season. Gilded- meaning covered in thinly sliced gold leaf or gold paint. This style was inspired by the Victorian Era- think royal, romantic, feminine.

The floral leaf designs add an antique twist to hair accessories. The gilded hair pieces pair best with bohemian style looks. Think; free flowing dresses, peasant tops and shaggy vests. A mix between 70's shabby chic and ancient Greek goddess.

Whether it be a smaller more subtle beret style hair piece. Or a more dramatic gilded flower crow. This trend is the perfect way to accessorize your Spring/Summer looks.
